Usthad Plus ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Usthad Plus mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign in, we collect your email address and password through Firebase Authentication. We do not store passwords — they are managed securely by Firebase.

Usage data: We may collect anonymous usage data such as which classes and subjects are accessed. This data does not identify you personally.

Device permissions: The App requests the following permissions:

• Internet access — to load study materials from our servers
• Storage access — to save downloaded PDFs and audio files to your device for offline use

We do not request access to your camera, contacts, location, or microphone.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Authenticate your account and provide access to content
• Store and retrieve study materials from our database (Firebase Firestore and Firebase Storage)
• Improve app performance and content organisation

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on Firebase (Google Cloud), which complies with industry-standard security practices. Downloaded files are stored locally on your device and can be deleted by uninstalling the app or clearing app data.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Content shared via the in-app share feature is sent by you directly through your device's sharing system — we have no control over how third-party apps handle that content.

5. Children's Privacy

Our App is designed for students of all ages including minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information beyond what is required for authentication. If you believe a child has provided personal data without parental consent, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

6. Data Retention

Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below.

7. Security

We use Firebase's built-in security features including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and authentication rules to protect your data. However, no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
